EVP in Your Community
Volunteer Categories
- Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams - Firefighter teams will be deployed to work with Israeli Firefighting stations in those areas of Israel where the need is greatest. Volunteers will be an integral part of existing Israeli crews and are vital to their efficient operation.
- Medical Teams - Volunteer nurses, paramedics and EMT personnel will be an integral part of local municipal emergency response teams and ambulance teams providing fast and effective response to emergency situations.
- Community Volunteers - The EVP has established the Community Volunteer framework for those volunteers wishing to make a contribution by helping to maintain a normal life under abnormal conditions. Volunteers will deliver food supplies, water, clothing, blankets and even recreational equipment. They will be responsible, working with detailed lists provided by the municipality, for putting together “aid parcels” for specific shelters or homes.
- Municipal maintenance team - During an emergency situation, following a disaster, be it a rocket attack or an earthquake, professional volunteers will work with municipal maintenance teams to provide immediate and temporary solutions for situations where substantial damage has been caused to major infrastructure facilities and presents a real risk to the population.
