  • Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams - Volunteer teams will be deployed and work with existing Israeli Firefighting stations in those areas of Israel where the need is greatest.  The volunteers will be an integral part of the existing units and are vital to its efficient operation.
  • Medical Teams - Teams of volunteers, nurses, paramedics and EMT personnel, will be an integral part of local municipal emergency response teams and will operate with them to provide fast and effective response to emergency situations.
  • Psychologists and Social workers - An integral part of each local municipal emergency team includes psychologists and social workers.  Their function is to visit bomb shelters, homes and other emergency areas to provide support to the civilian population.
  • Community Volunteers - The EVP has established the Community Volunteer framework for those volunteers wishing to make a contribution by helping to maintain a normal life under abnormal conditions. Volunteers will be delivered food supplies, water, clothing, blankets and even recreational equipment.  They will be responsible, working with detailed lists provided by the municipality, for putting together “aid parcels” for specific shelters or homes.
  • Municipal maintenance team - During an emergency situation, following a disaster, be it a rocket attack or an earthquake, professional volunteers will work with municipal maintenance teams to provide immediate and temporary solutions for situations where substantial damage has been caused to major infrastructure facilities and presents a real risk to the population.
