Congregations

EVP, in collaboration with the State of Israel, is forming a network of Congregations trained and certified as Emergency Response TEAMs, to respond both locally and in Israel during times of crisis, creating groups of volunteers ready to deploy to Israel in emergencies, and to join their local Community Emergency Response Teams, serving both the Holy Land and the local communities at home.

EVP volunteers are needed with a wide variety of backgrounds and skills: firefighters, medical personnel, social workers, trade professionals, as well as men and women without these specific skills who can work with local communities providing assistance in bomb shelters, municipal and Water Authority distribution centers, hospitals and other government facilities.

EVP Responders can operate in one of the areas of service listed below:

Firefighting, Search & Rescue
Medical Services.
Community Services (No special prerequisites).
Professional Support Services

In order to train the responders for their tasks during emergencies, each volunteer is required to participate in training programs targeting their volunteer service category.

This training teaches volunteers the acceptable standards of personal and operational readiness and acquaints them with new or revised protocols and/or procedures.

Trainings will be given at regional training centers conducted by teams of EVP certified instructors from the US and Israel. Training consists of classroom lectures, practical exercises, and drills on various scenarios that responders may encounter whilst deployed in Israel.

When activated during a crisis in Israel, those TEAM members called up and eho agree to deploy will fly to Israel for 10 days of volunteering deployment. Inland expenses - food, lodging, equipment and transportation, will be covered by the State of Israel.
