EVP Disaster Relief provides hot meals to Ukrainian Refugees in Israel

EVP DISASTER RELIEF PROVIDES HOT MEALS TO UKRAINIAN REFUGEES IN ISRAEL

Since the start of the war in the Ukraine, EVP mass feeding teams have provided, hot, nourishing meals to thousands of Ukrainian refugees who found shelter in Israel.

The war in the Ukraine and the need to provide help to the millions of refugees has presented the world, and Israel, with a challenge of massive proportions. EVP, with its years of experience in disaster relief,  stepped up and has deployed teams of volunteers and mobile kitchens to feed  hundreds of the Ukrainian refugees who have found shelter in Israel.

EVP CEO, Mr. Adi Zahavi: “EVP has been training and deploying disaster relief teams for over a decade. When we were asked to provide a mass feeding program to help the Ukrainian refugees in Israel, we immediately put together teams of volunteers and began deploying our mobile mass feeding kitchens across Israel.

EVP’s  response to the refugee crisis was a natural progression of events for an organization that has devoted itself to helping others in time of crisis since its inception, during the days of the Second Lebanese war in 2006.

EVP’s Mass Feeding Program is the latest in its lineup of disaster response solutions that includes volunteer-based fire, medical, search and rescue and community response units.

Since its establishment, the Mass Feeding Program has fed tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers on the front lines and needy families across Israel.  It gives us great pride to be part of Israel’s efforts to bring hope to Ukrainian families who have lost everything, showing them that we, and the people of Israel care.

Malina Nimerovski from Kiev, now living in Kiriyat Gat with her three young children (her husband remains in the Ukraine): “What can I say, those wonderful people from the EVP have shown us that we are not alone. We fled our home with nothing and since we came here, people have shown us nothing but kindness. The EVP angels have given us delicious hot meals that were a godsend, especially for my three children. I can never thank them, enough.” [Translated]

EVP was founded with just one goal, to train and train and prepare disaster response teams that would be able to come to the aid of Israel and  their home communities in times of need.

This is what we do, and we do it well. We will continue to do whatever it takes to bring aid to those in need.
