Grad missiles fired at Beersheba is the truce collapsing

The fragile cease fire between Israel and the terrorists in Gaza was broken last night as three Grad  rockets were fired at the southern city of Beersheba.  Two were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti missile system, one struck the city's outskirts.  In response to the attack, the IAF hit at terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip - a rocket launching site and a tunnel going under the Egyptian border used to smuggle arms into Gaza.

Beersheba's air raid sirens sounded just moments before the missile landed. No injuries or damage were reported, but emergency services were called to treat several people for shock.

Following the renewed rocket fire all schools and kindergartens in the city will be closed today as will those in several other towns and cities in the south.

"I don't care if this was just a local incident and not a renewal of rockets - I'm not sending my children to school until I know it's safe", said one father in Ashkelon.
