EVP in Your Community
EVP Training
In order to operate as an Emergency First Responder - training is vital. Regardless of your profession or skill set, protocols, methods and equipment in Israel are different from those in your own community.
Even the most experienced and highly qualified volunteers, need the background information and special training that will allow them to operate in a foreign environment during times of emergency or crisis.
For this reason, the EVP has developed a unique training program that introduces all volunteers, regardless of their specialty, to those aspects of Israel's Emergency Services that are specific to Israel. After training, volunteers will feel confident to work with their Israeli counterparts, providing the support that Israel's citizens so badly need.
Basic training is provided at Regional Training Centers near volunteers home communities. Advanced training is held in Israel with EVP instructors and with Israeli emergency teams from the various emergency services.
The training that an EVP volunteer receives, whether in Israel or in their home community, will put them in a privileged position. Not only will the volunteer learn the skills needed to work with Israel's Emergency Services, but those same skills will also prepare them to serve in their home communities in the event of a crisis or disaster.
After completing the EVP training program, which includes theoretical and practical education given by Israeli instructors, volunteers will be prepared to do what is needed when calamity strikes. Whether a natural disaster or act of terror, you will have the skills needed to serve and protect others at home or abroad.
