EVP Training

Even the volunteers who are the most experienced and highly qualified, need the background information and special training that will allow them to operate in an environment that is foreign to them during times of emergency or crisis.

This is especially true when EVP volunteers, both professionals and laypersons, are called upon to work in Israel where equipment, procedures, protocols and even the language is different.

For this reason, the EVP has developed a unique training program that introduces all volunteers, regardless of their specialty areas, to those aspects of Israel's Emergency Services that are specific to Israel and require proficiency. After training, volunteers will feel confident to work with their Israeli counterparts, providing the support that Israel's citizens so badly need.

The training that an EVP volunteer receives, whether in Israel or in their home community, will put them in a privileged position.  Not only will the volunteer learn the skills needed to work with Israel's Emergency Services, but those same skills will also prepare them to serve within their home communities in the event of a crisis or disaster. After completing the EVP training program, which includes theoretical and practical education given by Israeli instructors, volunteers will be prepared to do what is needed when calamity strikes, whether a natural disaster or act of terror, equipping them to take the necessary steps needed to serve and protect others at home or abroad.
